Since the beginning of the full-scale aggression in 2022, the enemy has been trying to disable Ukraine's energy system. Since October 2022, we have been living in a new reality - total electricity savings due to the lack of adjustable power in the system and the capacity of the transmission and distribution system. It takes time to restore the infrastructure, so energy companies are forced to limit consumption and apply electricity blackout schedules.

On January 3, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 1 regarding the peculiarities of the import of electric energy during the autumn-winter period. Thus, the commercial consumer can avoid planned shutdowns according to the GOP and GOE schedules when importing electricity from Europe in volumes not less than the volumes of September 2022.
The import of electricity from EU countries will help to reduce the deficit of generating capacities in the energy system of Ukraine and will provide an opportunity for suppliers to ensure an uninterrupted supply of imported electricity to enterprises that buy it.
A guaranteed supply of electricity will take place only within the planned schedules of emergency shutdowns. In case of the application of special schedules for emergency shutdowns, the supply of imported electricity may be stopped.
