Purchase of surplus RES electricity from enterprises

Over the past year, the number of companies installing renewable energy sources (RES) for their own needs has increased significantly in Ukraine. 
Demand for solar power plants and wind farms is growing due to the availability of technology and the high cost of electricity for businesses. For example, over the past ten years, the cost of solar panels has decreased by more than 10 times. Currently, the cost of stand-alone stations is approximately $650-750 per kW of installed capacity, without an accumulation system, and depends on the equipment and installed capacity. Such stations can pay for themselves in 5-7 years. The main goal of installing renewable energy sources at enterprises is to optimize the energy costs of a particular production. 

In early May 2023, the NEURC decided to grant all electricity consumers the right to sell electricity produced by the generating and/or energy storage facility of such consumer to any supplier under a free contract and at a contractual price (Resolution No. 847 of May 9, 2023).

Tolk offers its legal consumers the purchase of unused surplus RES electricity on mutually beneficial terms:

• we buy back RES electricity at contractual market prices;
• we conclude long-term contracts;
• electricity producers receive payments without delay and in full.
